Her Majesty the Queen has in January 2022 for half a century been head
of state for Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
On January 14, 2022, it is 50 years since Frederik IX passed away,
and the Queen succeeded her father to the throne. During her 50-year
reign, the Queen has represented Denmark externally and been a rallying
point internally.
